What criteria do you use for admission?
In general, all practicing teachers are eligible to participate in the Institute. However, we do use special criteria for the Advanced Institute – only teachers with past experience with our work, and demonstrated commitment in transforming their mathematical practice will be admitted to the Advanced Institute.

What is the cost of the Institute and how can I pay?
The cost is stated above. However, schools with several teachers participating in one Institute are offered a discount. After your registration, your school will be contacted to discuss payment. If you are participating as an independent teacher (without a school affiliation) you will be contacted individually. We accept checks and money orders.

Can I earn CTLE-Credits for my participation?
Yes! Summer institute participants are eligible for CTLE credits. An additional processing fee ($50) applies for those participants who request these credits.

Will I earn a certificate of attendance?
We do provide a certificate of attendance for those who request it, or if your school requires it. Please request one on the first day of the institute. The certificate will specify the professional development hours you earned at the institute. In the event that you miss a day, your certificate will indicate the number of hours you were in attendance.

Is there homework?
Yes, but not too strenuous. You will be given reading and reflection assignments. We want you to make the most out of your participation.
