After completing her undergraduate degree, Sobha worked with national and local television news stations including WABC-TV, Fox 5 News, and NBC News, where she was an assistant field producer for the Emmy nominated "Waterfight," a one hour documentary on Dateline NBC. While at NYU for her graduate degree she immersed herself in arts education. She has been a Teaching Artist for The New Victory Theater in New York City for the past seven seasons where she conducted pre/post performance workshops, participated in residency programs, and led family workshops and teacher institutes. She is also a member of the innovative Teaching Artist Enrichment Team, a small contingent of artists who mentor new Teaching Artists.

Sobha served as a Teaching Artist with The Educational Arts Team in Jersey City, NJ for the past nine years. She created and conducted in-school workshops on such topics as Violence Prevention, Drug Prevention, and Integrating Drama with Literacy and Social Studies. She and the team also conducted professional development for 4th and 5th grade teachers in the entire district. The culmination of this grant was a teacher's manual called A Magic Circle of Drama. In addition, she was part of another Department of Education grant that involved her in researching the effects of integrating drama with literacy in the 6th and 7th grade classrooms. She also served as the Director of the Teen Mentor Program at Camp Liberty, for the Educational Arts Team's summer camp. Each summer she has also directed one of the camp plays that are performed. These plays feature stories from around the world that are adapted for the camp stage and usually have between 50-60 campers involved. Some of her plays that she adapted and directed are "How the Sun and Moon got up into the Sky," "The Myth of Osiris and Isis," "Ra-The Creation Story," "How Ganesh got his Elephant Ears," and this past summer's Irish Tale called, "Brave Margaret."
