The request for proposals was entitled, Technology Grants for Transforming Teaching and Learning. The other awarded grants will be housed in chemical engineering, psychology, and mathematics. Work
for Project TeleCOURSE is in progress (Summer 2012, Fall 2012, Spring 2013, and Summer 2013) and will result in redesigned courses in hybrid and full-online formats by Fall 2013 - Spring 2014. Professor Crevecoeur envisions increased opportunities for students to register for courses that traditionally conflicted with personal and professional schedules while simultaneously improving their proficiencies with educational technologies and online collaboration tools. One of the added benefits of Project TeleCOURSE is accelerated progress toward degree completion for students. Representatives from The Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning at The City College of New York will provide technical assistance and consultation.
