Addressing Learning Loss in Multiplication and Division Through Numeracy Routines for Grades 3-5

In this session, we will explore how numeracy routines can address learning loss observed in our students. Numeracy routines provide an opportunity to assess and support both classroom culture norms and content. Numeracy routines are designed to both infuse a classroom community with discourse and critical thinking while also supporting mathematics instruction through mathematical modeling and strategy exploration.

We will incorporate routines that support the development of numeracy in grades 3-5 with a focus on multiplication and division.
These will include number strings and quick images.

When: Tuesday, March 22, 2022
Time: 2.5 hours in the AM (9 – 11:30AM) and 2.5 hours in the afternoon (12:30 – 3PM)
