Advanced Institute for Teacher Leaders

This session is designed for Teacher Leaders, Coaches, and Teacher Educators who have previously completed introductory work with Mathematics in the City work. Participants will examine the three landscapes of learning (early number, multiplication and division, rational numbers), emphasizing the developmental trajectories that children follow and appropriate pedagogy that supports that development. They will then discuss teacher development, particularly the development of pedagogical content knowledge and tools and strategies to support that development.

Time: The workshops will be virtual, and will run 2 hours in the AM (9-11AM) and 2 hours in the afternoon (1-3PM).
